Community Lead (H/F) – Jeune Afrique Media Group

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a sectoral community within the Events division.
  • Manage client relationships: identify key players, maintain networks, ensure retention, upselling and renewals.
  • Support business development: contribute to ticket sales, sponsorship, Membership, and other JAMG products (with Sales team).
  • Conduct sector monitoring: stakeholder mapping, market insights, trend analysis.
  • Contribute to JAMG’s thought leadership: recommend speakers, provide content input, represent JAMG in media and events.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Strong communication, networking, and organizational skills.
  • Solid business acumen and knowledge of sector ecosystems.
  • Proven experience in community engagement, partnerships, or multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Track record of meeting/exceeding KPIs (retention, growth, visibility).
  • Team player, autonomous, with a strong interest in Africa (experience on the continent is a plus).
